What shapes performance isn't always visible.

Organizations invest significant time and resources into improving performance, developing leaders, supporting employees, and building strong workplace cultures. Yet we often fail to recognize the many factors shaping those outcomes.

How people respond to stress. How they communicate under pressure. The beliefs they carry about themselves. The habits they develop. The ways they manage competing demands and navigate life transitions.

These factors shape how people think, work, lead, and perform every day.

At Interplay Advisory, we help organizations better understand the psychological and often invisible factors shaping performance and provide practical, evidence-based strategies that support stronger performance, healthier workplace cultures, and sustainable success.

OUR STORY

Interplay Advisory was built from years of conversations

As Clinical Psychologists, we've spent our careers helping people navigate challenges such as stress, burnout, perfectionism, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and the many pressures of balancing work, family, and personal responsibilities.

Over time, we began noticing something.

Many of the people sitting across from us were intelligent, capable, hardworking professionals. They weren't lacking motivation or talent. In many cases, they were already highly successful.

What they often lacked were practical psychological skills and frameworks that could have helped them navigate challenges earlier, more effectively, and with less unnecessary struggle.

We found ourselves wishing these conversations weren't limited to therapy offices.

We began asking bigger questions.

  • What if more people had access to these skills before they reached a breaking point?

  • What if organizations better understood the often invisible psychological factors that shape how people work, lead, communicate, and perform?

  • What if individuals could learn skills at work that benefited both their professional success and their lives beyond work?

Those questions became the foundation for Interplay Advisory.

We translate established psychological science into practical workplace learning experiences that help employees, leaders, and organizations better understand themselves and one another.

Our goal isn't to turn workplaces into therapy sessions. It's to make credible psychological knowledge more accessible and actionable, thereby supporting healthier workplace environments.

Why We Do This Work

We believe many of the skills that improve performance, leadership, communication, and well-being shouldn't be reserved for moments of crisis.

They should be accessible earlier - and to everyone.

Most people receive very little education about how stress affects performance, how perfectionism can undermine effectiveness, how burnout develops, how psychological safety influences team success, or how information overload affects decision-making.

Yet these factors shape workplace outcomes every day.

Through our workshops, we help organizations bridge that gap by providing practical, science-backed strategies grounded in decades of clinical experience, research, and real-world application.

Because when people better understand how they think, work, and respond to challenges, everyone benefits.

What Makes Interplay Advisory Different

MANY WORKPLACE LEARNING PROVIDERS FOCUS ON BUSINESS OUTCOMES ALONE. WE FOCUS ON THE PEOPLE WHO CREATE THOSE OUTCOMES

Our perspective is shaped by decades of experience helping individuals understand and overcome the challenges that affect how they perform, lead, communicate, and engage with others.

Through our work with thousands of clients over the years, we've gained a unique perspective on the often invisible factors that influence performance, leadership, communication, well-being, and workplace culture.

We're not management consultants. We're not motivational speakers. And we're not interested in delivering generic workplace wellness content.

We are Clinical Psychologists who translate established psychological science into practical workplace strategies that help people perform more effectively, communicate more skillfully, lead with greater confidence, work more sustainably, and contribute to healthier workplace cultures.

Everything we teach is grounded in research, informed by clinical experience, and designed to be immediately useful.

The Interplay Framework

Our proprietary Interplay Framework™ connects visible workplace performance with the psychological and often invisible factors that shape them. Through the practical lens of capability, capacity, and load, it helps organizations better understand performance, leadership, communication, and workplace culture.

Woven throughout our signature workshops, the framework provides a consistent way of understanding workplace performance. While it serves as a common foundation, each workshop also includes its own topic-specific psychological insights, practical strategies, and evidence-informed approaches tailored to the unique workplace challenge being explored.

Whether the focus is burnout, procrastination, menopause at work, sleep, imposter syndrome, psychological safety, or another workplace topic, participants acquire a shared language for understanding the factors that shape workplace performance as well as practical strategies they can apply immediately.
